And as with anything, do your testing in a separate test NAV environment first. Be sure to clear the filters when you've finished though. Package Card then click the Table menu in the lines section, where you'll have most likely have previously seen and used the 'Package Data' and 'Fields' options at least, you should also see 'Filter' as an option and you can set normal NAV filters against one or more fields in the table to limit how much data it exports (but it doesn't affect what it imports, if I remember correctly). In case you haven't seen it, to set Filters, select the table in your RapidStart Config. You can test on a small number of your items first by also setting a filter on Item No.
Importing the second sheet, because the Starting Date will be different, will mean NAV treats them as new lines. the ones with blank Ending Dates) and will set those for you. This should work for you and no need to insert lots of extra lines:Įxport the table through RapidStart but you should first be able to set a Filter on the RapidStart so it only outputs the lines with a Starting Date on or after the oldest one you want to keep.
